Trend of Unisex Clothing is no longer a Trend, it's a Niche

Back in April, I couldn't believe my eyes when pictures surfaced of a Céline-clad Kanye West performing on stage at the hip California music festival Coachella, in a silk blouse from their womenswear collection. Straight out of the uber-luxurious French fashion house's SP/SU 2011 catwalk collection, which is designed by Phoebe Philo, the world-famous rapper donned the silk, printed shirt in earnest, choosing to style it half-unbuttoned and with a thick chain necklace.

Thus began my fascination with Unisex Fashions. One designer who definitely caught my attention is, Rad Hourani. He celebrates that his line functions as a "laboratory, and experiments with new shapes and fabrics in a couture-like approach".  His line "RAD by Rad Hourani" definitely focuses on styles and silhouttes of the same unisex signature look offered in different materials and a more casual transformable fit.
Gender-agnosticism is the defining driving conceptual direction in Rad Hourani's work as all of his products are specifically designed to be unisex.

So, if you are fortunate enough to have a fashion forward mate whom you share the same relative size check out Rad's collection and test drive out this new Fashion Niche for Unisex Clothing!

Here are some of the great looks from the RAD by Rad Hourani Spring/Summer 2011 Runway Show.  Great Monochramatic Palette with definite great clean lines and tailoring.  Such an uber-chic presentation in having both a male and female presenation of the clothing to showcase the Gender-agnosticism that is the defining message behind his clothing.

  1. I feel bad saying this, but Kanye West totally bested Jessica Simpson in that Celine shirt.

  2. I completely agree! Jessica Simpson makes it look like a Walmart top...
