[NYFW] Day 4: RAD by Rad Hourani Spring 2013 Collection!

It's absolutely no surprise to anyone that one of my favorite designers is Rad Hourani.  He is an absolute visionary and I believe one of the few true artistic geniuses we have alive today in the arena of fashion art.  His silhouettes are futuristic, unisex and structurally stunning.  Lucky for all of us, Rad's Spring 2013 collection definitely did not disappoint.

His choice of a contrasting color palette of a bold deep plum, soft pastel pink, shiny silver and matte black help to enhance the "Neo-esque" influence of this collection.  The heavily slicked back hair, glowingly neutral face make-up lend as great accents to channeling a futuristic matrix vibe.  Rad's vision that is conveyed through his Spring 2013 collection is very clear: Man or Woman, we are all 'The One'.

Oh RAD by Rad Hourani, how I love thee!

The perfect start to my day was receiving my weekly RAD by Rad Hourani email update.  I discovered wonderful news that not only is Rad Hourani designing a special and exclusive collection of 10 unisex pieces that will only be available at Joyce Boutique in Hong Kong but that he will be the first designer to showcase a unisex haute couture collection in the history of  Paris Haute Couture Week this July.

Seriously, where do I even begin.  It's no secret that I have become a huge fan of Rad Hourani since discovering him last year (see post here).  This exclusive collection only to be offered at Joyce, reflect a slick and energetic silhouette that celebrate the 5 years of unisex and design brilliance of Rad Hourani.  Continuing to build on this amazing unisex movement, Rad will be showcasing his exceptional craftsmanship through the fabric three-dimensionally, as an architectural origami canvas.  The unisex reversible and transformable pieces are handcrafted and made with meticulous precision and dedication to Rad's vision: Genderless, Seasonless, and Timeless.  These pieces are destined to be more than garments; a collector's item.

Kanye is officially the most Fashion Foward male celeb!

Kanye West first intrigued me back in April of 2011 when Kanye West sported a Céline blouse (see post) straight off of the SP/SU 2011 runway.  Well, he's done it again folks!

Kanye was looking super fly in a mint green lady sweater by Acne (as seen below sitting front row at the Mark Fast show) yesterday for London Fashion Week.

This cutting edge and fashion forward designer will definitely be missed greatly in a week by none other than, moi (me).  This show was definitely within the 'Top 3' of my must see shows at New York Fashion Week.  Personal obligations are keeping me away from the tents this season but I will definitely see you come this Fall RAD by Rad Hourani!

In the meantime, my new project is trying to figure out how to get my 6'3", 300lb husband to slim down so we can maximize the use of a RAD by Rad Hourani unisex piece...
